So, my HD 7950 is not booting up in normal windows, it remains a black screen after the "Starting Windows" section of boot.

This is after I install the drivers.

my setup includes:

a 600W PSU from Thermal take

A M5A97 R2.0

12 GB OF RAM

A FX 6300 BE

4 HDD's.

I have tried uninstalling the driver and it boots fine.

Is it a hardware issue?

driver is defiantly the issue if you uninstalled it and it works fine. If this is Gigabyte OC GURU_II, get rid of it, stick with the Asus GPU tweak software, I do the same for my Gigabyte Windforce R9 290X 4GB.

what software causes the black screen?

You said;

"I have tried uninstalling the driver and it boots fine."

Not sure what entirely it means (you said tried), but it says boots fine.

uninstall it, then install a 13.XX driver, that's if you have a 14.4 Beta, which may be the issue.

Nothing, just the driver.

I just installed the 13.12 drivers.

Should I just do a clean install?

are you running a 64 bit or 32 bit OS?

could you also try the long black PCI-E X16 slot, current long blue one may be faulty.

The Display Driver.

Just that.

It might be a faulty video card.

could you test your power supply

It may be faulty.

If appears good, your GPU must be the main fault.
