I have a Enter E-GPV gamepad that was working fine on my win 7 setup..however, it has now stopped working. The light on the gamepad does not turn on nor is it detected by windows in any way. Tried re-installing the drivers but in vain. Tried it in other ports and on a laptop..same result: no response. I have another enter E-GPV gamepad that works perfectly on both the systems. Is the gamepad spoilt ? What could be the cause and can it be repaired?

It can't be repaired, after all it only cost 200 bucks, what if you gone to make a repair of it, he'll definitely charge you around 150, whats the use buy the new one, although you have a Enter E-GPV gamepad, this time buy a different brand.

Try this one driver. At least for windows 8.1 this driver works.
