fx5200 pluged in but no display

Had a nvidia mx4000, bought a fx5200 and after pluging it into the slot the old graphics card was in, the monitor won't go on but if I put the mx4000 back in, it works perfectly fine

Post your build. Include the monitor,

They are really low spec graphics cards. It'll be interesting to see what else you got. Fair chance the fx5200 is dead - of old age

Use this to remove the old drivers with your GPU still installed, then take out the old GPU, install the new one, and install the drivers for that card.
