My game FPS drops when recording at 720p but is fine at 480p. I use dxtory and lagarith lossless codec, if I set my settings to 480p, game runes at 60 fps, records at 30. If I change my settings to 720p my game runs at 20 - 25 FPS. Anything I can do?

AMD Radeon 6700 series. Intel i7 2600K at 3.40 GHz. The game normally runs at around 200 FPS

Thanks.

The problem is the recorder is sucking and using a big chunk of the memory and system resourses, it tries to maximize
the fps so you can play the game. In English: Your computer is busy trying to get the recorder to high quality than giving the game max performance. I suggest if you have a dual cpu get into task manager (CTRL-ALT-DEL) go to processes, find the dxtory.exe and your game, right click than click set affinity, you should see that you have multiple boxes checked, uncheck all of them and only check one, do the same to the other program just dont check the same box. You should get a bit of increase of performance (30-60 FPS). Now you have an organised CPU.
