    Hi ashishdass1000
yes it will work , pcie 3.0 is backwards compatible with pcie 2.0
you will notice no difference and it will work in your 16x lane

Please check the question again and help me
  2. sorry misread your question my apologies

yes the cpu is compatible with your motherboard
    the ram is compatible
The card is compatible and requires a minimum psu of 400 watts ,

is that a second card ? if so your psu is not powerfull enough you will need about 750watts for Xfire 2 cards

Thanks alot! , it is my first gaming pc ,so i will use only one graphic card only. Which games will work with this rig ?
  6. you are welcome , not sure what games you are looking to play on it , best just to google the game name and minimum system reqirements for that game , if your card is above that and your processor you will be fine :)
  7. most game should work, but don't expect high fps on demanding games. even if you pair a high end card there the cpu will be a bottleneck

After assembling the system myself, i want this system to be reliable for five years as i will never overclock anything , I will just power on for continuous gaming for four hours each day in those five years. Will this system be reliable or not for five years ?
  13. nothing is 100% reliable for 5 years , anything with moving parts will fail at some time , i have had hard drives last over 10 years , others 3 months
graphics cards the same some died in 2 years.
That is a hard question to answer. I hope it does go for you for 5 years but i can't guarantee that will happen

I got your point but still just 4 hours/day for 5 years is not possible as my usage is tremendously lower than my friends as they use 24 hours per day for some days and left their computer powered on overnight?

    Thank you ;)
  17. Did this actually work?

I have seen several motherboards with a PCIe 3.0 x16 slot that say that PCIe 3.0 is ONLY compatible with the I3/i5 and I7. But none of them say if the slot defaults to a PCIe 2.0 mode if you have lower chip like a Pentium G840

I want to upgrade one of machines to a xeon which will free up a G840 but I don't want to buy a motherboard where the PCIe slot doesn't work at all because of the CPU model
