Solution
It will work , but i recommend changing the psu , i don't trust noname psu's and i bet most other users don't , either .
Can we know your budget ?
I'm guessing your budget is 400$~

thanks, i will check which PSU i got later

ill think about changing my PSU, my budget is 400 dollars yes, may i know why the 280x is better ? according to some sites it says that the 770 outperforms the 280x (this in particular http://www.videocardbenchmark.net/high_end_gpus.html)

thanks a lot for the answer !

Here is anandtech's benchmarks comparing the 2 cards.

As you can see they trade blows in a lot of games, so you would be fine getting either. I prefer nvidia due to familiarity with drivers and Shadowplay, but AMD has more Vram (useful if gaming at higher than 1080p)

I agree with the other posts about getting a good named PSU that you can rely on. I also can recommend MSI's gaming range for good cooling and low noise whilst remaining on the cheaper end of the scale.

That was really helpful, thanks a lot ! My monitor supports 1080p max so it seems like the GTX would be the better choice, though ill think it out carefully.

It also depends of the version of the gpu
If it's a sapphire 280x toxic trading blows with let's say an msi 770 i'm pretty sure the toxic will beat the 770
