Hello! Long time reader first time poster, but im finally to the point in my overclock that I feel I can use some advise.

System Specs:
Amd 955 BE C2 - Hyper 212 Evo
2x4 GB DDR3 1333
gigabyte ga-78lmt-usb3
EVGA GTX 660 2gb DDR5
EVGA 500w 80 Plus PSU

My Current Overclock
3.7ghz @ 1.485v
NP CPU 2.4 ghz @ 1.2v
HT @ stock and stock voltage

I have a few questions:

First even though my BIOS is set to 1.485v in CPUz its only showing 1.45v and under load it drops to 1.412v. Why is my voltage reporting low in CPUz, is that the true voltage my CPU is receiving?

Second My load temps seem to creep a little high idle around 47-48 and 58-59 under stress test (about an hour) is that ok for that voltage and speed? Should I drop to 3.6ghz and lower my voltage for lower temps?

Third is there any tweaking that I should do such as raising my HT, or FSB? Maybe drop my CPU speed and push my CPU NB a little more?

Ive kinda hit a wall, I dont know if I should be happy with what I have and call it a day or if I should keep tweaking with my settings. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks!

BIOS is the #1 thing you should always rely on, that is direct system feed of specs, don't trust software as much as BIOS.

47-48 idle and 58-59 load is great for an overclock (even if unoverclocked), anything under 85 degrees is good and safe.

No need for tuning.

Are you sure 85 is safe? From all my research 62-63 is max temp for these CPU's. Will upping my HT to 2.2ghz help my performance at all? Im not looking to blow away any bench marks, all im really looking for is pull some more fps out of my games and a faster overall every day experience. Would dropping my cpu to 3.6 and raising my NB CPU to 2.6+ help with performance at all or is my CPU the most important?

your CPU, can take up to 85 degrees. Don't bother OC'ing your HT, won't do much if not anything.

"Would dropping my cpu to 3.6 and raising my NB CPU to 2.6+ help", that won't help either.

So update:
I pushed my FSB to 205
Lowered my multiplier to 18x
NB CPU is now at 2460
HT is 2050
Dont remember exact values of ram but they raised a little i beleve 1367 or around there
Whats strange is before to get my voltages to hold steady at 1.416 in CPUz I had to run my BIOS voltage at 1.485. Once I raised my FSB my voltages were reading very high in CPUz, I was able to lower my Vcore to 1.35 and NB voltage to 1.14 and CPUz was still holding voltages at 1.416. And explanation on this?

CPUz is not always accurate, always trust BIOS, that is core system feed specs.

The max safe temp of a Phenom II is officially 60-65c. People online say they usually run up to 70-80c, but at that point it's acknowledged to dramatically shorten the CPU's lifespan.

If it stays at about 60c after an hour of stress testing, it should be fine. Just don't let it get up to 70c or higher; The Phenom IIs were not as temp resistant as the FX series and it will die within a couple years if it hits 70c regularly.
