5970 Disabled Adapter. help!

I need help in using my HD 5970, which used to run perfectly, somehow only uses 1 gpu now after I turned on the desktop after a 9 month vacation. CCC shows it as a "Disabled Adapter" and on afterburner it generates no heat response. Help a newbie out!

It is disabled meaning that the card is not available. It is basically disabling the ports on secondary card. As long as you are able to get crossfire in the catalyst, your cards are working in a crossfire configuration.
