EVGA 660 SLI would one use its full potential or not?

Hello i was wondering if i get a evga 660 SC 2gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... and a EVGA SC 3gb http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... would the 3gb one use its 3gigs or will it just drop down to math the 2gig version of the card?

You would only be able to utilize 2GB of VRAM since VRAM doesn't add up with SLI or CF; It's mirrored between the cards.
