I just got a Sound Blaster X-Fi Sorround 5.1 Pro for better CS:GO experience,
I set my settings to 5.1 in Creative Entertaiment Console and in Windows.
But when i do the test to my headset (Steeleries Siberia V2) i can't here the channel at the Front and the ones at the back (Left and Right)

Solution
sure... and not only ingame audio; if you set the 5.1 output in your favourite media player, you can even hear 5.1 audio in movies/series (if they have 5.1 audio and you watch them on your computer)...

also - you can get virtual surround on any headphones, but as stated - while it works well and it is quite precise, for the best possible result you will need to consider analogue 5.1 headphones (e.g. not usb connected /because anything usb connected sucks/. also these headphones actually have 5 drivers per ear instead of a regular one).
pros and cons of such headphones>
pro - better surround sound (which will help you a lot if you rank within the top ranks of your favourite fps game),
con - worse sound quality and a big premium in price...

1, that is not correct - you can enable positional audio on headphones: set output to headphones, check in creative studio virtual surround and finaly check ingame settings to 5.1.

2, better sound quality, the ability to get the best out of better headphones/speakers, etc...

That still doesn't make the headphones 5.1 and while it might help a little bit, the sound still won't be close to actual 5.1.
