Lenovo G780 problem starting up

We have a Lenovo G780 and just recently have had some problems getting it to power up. It is only about 2 years old, can anyone advise? Many thanks!

Edit:
Hadn't realized it was a laptop, what is the exact problem? does it turn on sometimes or not at all? any random shutdowns?

Hi there! Thanks for your reply, had no random shutdowns, we close it down at night in the usual way. But recently in the morning when we switch on, we hit the power button, it starts to power up with nothing on the screen. Today after 10 minutes or so, I went back to check the screen and it had powered up successfully, but feel that since the problem happened once, it may very well happen again. We very recently upgraded to Windows 8.1.

Well it seems like users are having a lot of trouble with 8.1. take a look at this thread and see if any of these answers help with your problem
