Hello!

I recently came across an old Asus A8n-sli Deluxe board. Since this was such a nice board back in the day, I would really like to build an old system around it. I have an 80gb HDD and about 3gigs of memory for the thing already, but my main concern is power. I would like to throw in 2 9800 GTXs to utilize the SLI function of the board, but I don't know how much power I would need, nor do I no of a reliable power supply that would suit it for its age. The case I was looking at came with a 400W PSU. I would also like to mention I would be throwing in an AMD Athlon X2 5000B. I'm excited to build with this board. Any help or tips are appreciated!

Well any power supply would really do connections wise, as for power if you are running 2x graphics cards I would suggest going for an absolute minimum of 600w but really I'd be looking at a 750w. Older systems suck as much, if not more power than new systems so you will still require a powerful unit just the same as building an up-to-date SLI / crossfire build. Input your details into here and see what you get:

When selecting a power supply, do some research and buy a decent unit not a cheapie.. I appreciate you are building an old build on a budget but your still going to require stable power delivery.
