Physx on CPU?

Can I run high PhysX on an FX 9370 is games, like Borderlands 2, Planetside 2, and Akham Origins? I will be playing on a 1080p monitor.

No. It is an nVidia-only piece of software, and thus only runs on nVidia graphics cards.

borderlands 2 physhx did not even work on my 780, in that sense that the fps dropped so bad it was not playable.
planetside 2 have no physx yet, they are working on it so we dont know what you need to run it.

I'm talking about using the drivers for CPU calculated PhysX.

From Wikipedia: "Video games supporting hardware acceleration by PhysX can be accelerated by either a PhysX PPU or a CUDA-enabled GeForce GPU (if it has at least 256MB of dedicated VRAM), thus offloading physics calculations from the CPU, allowing it to perform other tasks instead. In theory this should result in a smoother gaming experience and allow additional visual effects."

So once again: no. You need an nVidia graphics card supporting PhysX.

physx dont work right on anything anyways il say. back when we had dedicated physx cards it could be a thing...

Physx does work on the cpu when no nvidia card is present but the performance decrease is quite significant. Here's just some random google benchmarks for borderlands 2. http://physxinfo.com/news/9425/borderlands-2-is-cpu-capable-of-handling-the-physx-effects/

Performance will be bad and most games will not allow the Advanced PhysX option if no Nvidia card is present.
