i would like to put my gtx 780 on water... i have a smaller case so the only place i can put a Radiator is on the 120mm fan in the back of my case or put it out side my case. the card runs at 80C at load and when playing games for an extended period of time my room gets very hot. will water cooling help keep the temp and if so how much?

Solution
if you get custom water cooling with full cover block its going to help alot down to 50c. but a aoi cou watercooling kit fittet to a gpu have vram heat issues. make sure you get small heatsinks to cool the chips. you will get cooler gpu but room will still feel the same temp.

im planing on custom cooling... are you on water? and are you oc'd?

Water cooling may reduce your graphics card temperatures, but it will do nothing to improve your room temperature.

And... converting a case fan to a radiator fan may well impact your cpu cooling.

Graphics cards run hot, but they are designed to do so.
I say... let it be.

Basically for water on the GPU you have two options AIO like the Kraken G10 or full custom loop. If you only have a single 120mm place inside the case don't do it. If on the other hand you were willing to put the rad on the outside of the case or purchase a new case then you will be able to accomplish something.
