Solution Zircoben May 18, 2014 SRB_Eversmann : What if my motherboard is rev. 1.0? Here: http://www.gigabyte.com/support-downloads/cpu-support-popup.aspx?pid=3008 That's that CPU support page. The 95W AMD Phenom II X4 955 is shown working on the F5 version of BIOS. The 125W version says: N/A for BIOS. Yeah, so i'd get the 95W version and that should be basically the best performance you can get for that board. Good luck!

Here is the rev.1 page: http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3008#sp Under Overview, it says it will support the Phenom II series, and under Specifications, it says it supports the Phenom I X4. I saw another tom'shardware thread: http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/297953-28-upgrading-phenom-phenom On Saint95's post, he says this: "Rev. 1.0: Phenom II X4 955 C3 95W, using F5 BIOS version" It looks like if you get the 95W version, you should be fine, but if you jump up to 125W, it might fry your board. Hope that helps! Upvote 0 Downvote
