I reformat my computer with the wrong windows . I need the product key for windows 7 32 bit but ?

I brought my computer with window 7 home prem , I was reformatting my computer with windows 7 disc turn out to be windows 7 professional 32 bit . My product key doesn't work for it what can i do to fix it ?

Well I downloaded the MS image a few years ago then modified the ei.cfg file and I could then choose any version of windows. Although 32bit and 64bit disks are different. It's not wrong because you didn't/couldn't do it.

It's not illegal. We use an OEM Windows installation disc where I work. The only thing Microsoft really cares about is that your activation code is legitimate. THAT'S what they're selling you. ISO's for various Windows installation discs can be downloaded from the web as long as you have that valid installation code.
 
the codes are version specific though, as i have a 7 home premium code that will not work with my 7 pro. oh well, if your company does this than they probably either have permission from microsoft or they have special corporation licenses and discs (i would think this is most likely).
