Hi,

I'm trying to set up a triple monitor for my pc. But I keep getting an error "Unable to save display settings."

1st monitor is 1900x1080 connected to an active HDMI port with a DVI chord and a DVI to active HDMI converter.
2nd monitor is 1600x900 connected to a DVI port with a DVI chord.
3rd monitor is 1200x1024 connected to a DVI port with a VGA cord and a VGA to DVI converter.

My OS is Windows 7 (64 bit)
My Graphics Card is Sapphire Radeon R9 270X 4GB GDDR5 DVI-I/DVI-D/HDMI/DP Dual-X with Boost and OC version PCI-Express

You need an active dp adapter to one of the monitors. Dvi and hdmi don't need an active converter so am unsure if you meant dp there, in which case it's the dvi-d to vga that may be the issue. Only one dvi port is dvi-i. It may help to know which one isn't working. Or if you've tried each monitor separately to know if the adapters or cables aren't the issue.

and as your monitors are all different resolutions, I presume if it does work, it'll set the lowest resolution, although whether it will work is another matter as they are all different aspect ratios too!

1900x1080 and 1200x1024 works as a pair same goes with 1600x900 and 1200x1024. Just want to make the three of them work.

The dvi i is the one not working. I have a vga to dvi i converter. and my 1st monitor is in an active port. or so it seems. Here's the link to my monitor 1's thing. http://www.amazon.com/Dell-Universal-DisplayPort-Video-...

That is not an active dp adapter, that is passive and is the reason it's not working.

NO don't buy that. You need active dp, it can't just be any port, it has to be an active dp adapter.

Let me clarify. 2 monitors can be in any port, does not matter. But when you have 3, one of the monitors must be in an active dp.

Ohhh. I see. Can you give me an amazon link for a vga to an active display cord or dvi d to active display cord that you recommend so I can buy that instead?

I'm running 3 monitors, but they're all using different connections. HDMI, DVI, and Displayport.
