My gaming laptop broke, so I am in need of buying a new gaming system. My friends have urged me to build a pc over a next gen console. So I am looking to putting down around the price of a $500-$600 pc build. Coming from the console side of the games, I prefer having a good amount of fps, as suggested a GPU that can run 60fps or higher on good settings. I already have an OS, so that is not a problem for me. This computer will be mostly used for gaming, I have a reserve laptop that I use for schoolwork.

Well, for that money you would be very lucky to achieve a SOLID 60fps in most games on high.

Try grabbing an i5 4440, a AMD R7 270x GPU, a corsair HX650 PSU, G Skill Ripjaws 1600MHz DDR3, 8GB RAM, Fractal Define R3 Case and a MSI Z87-G45 Gaming LGA 1150 Intel Z8 motherboard. This may be a little over your budget, but by only a little and it will hold up to your expectations.
