I am about to build a mid range gaming pc and i am restricted with maximum 55k in my pocket.
There are no specific priorities in terms of processor and motherboard, just the main requirement is that i am able to play all the major titles at a decent frame rate and at max 1080p res. I will also be using the rig for frequent programming and debugging but no image editing
Components required:
Processor(intel i5 recommended)
Mobo
Graphic card(open to both nvidia and amd)
hard disk(1TB recommended)
PSU
RAM
Mid Tower Case
Gaming mouse

optical drive is not required as i will be installing the OS from my ext hdd
monitor not required as i will be using my old one(it's a dell 24 inches)

Any help will be much appreciated..Thanks

right now i am unable to pick the right mobo for my build....am confused between asrock z87 extreme4 and asus z87 pro....i know asus z87 pro will be on a higher side in terms of money and that's what i want to know that will it be worth those extra 4k rs when comparing it to asrock?

one thing i will say that if u choose to buy cabinet and motherboard from outside..............there is a form factor which u have to keep in mind..........and if u want to play modern and high end games get a good psu 650w to 750w......
and check whether there is enough space in cabinet to place the gpu................thats all the rest spec r of ur choice..........

650W to 750W!! don't you think it is too much?? i thought a 500 W psu will suffice. And talking about case...i think a mid tower case will be spacious enough to hold a gpu?I will be increasing my budget to max 55k...so i would want to go for a much better processor and motherboard so that i can have some future proofing for my build. So any suggestions other than an i3 and a gigabyte GA-B75M??

500w will be ok........i was suggesting that u can take 650w or 750w............
and about processor and motherboard............
u could select an i5 or amd fx 8150........
approx 12000rs...... they would go upto 5-6 years.............
and play modern games easily.....
and if u want to play modern game like watch dogs.......try to fix the budget upto 60000rs.....
with all monitor and webcam and other things........
and i would recommend try to compare the prices with snapdeal......as snapdeal is giving the components at lowest cost........i have been seeing it for months..............

Nice :) I was thinking that ati r9 270x may be a more feasible option for me...coz it would cost around 15 - 16k in my country. So what do you think? in the long run how will 270x go with the build? And don't you think that a 1150 processor and compliant mobo may be a better option than a 1155 one? am just suggesting. what are your thoughts?

R9 270X performs way lesser than GTX 760

If you are thinking about lowering the GPU take a look at this balanced build:
http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/build-your-own-budget-gaming-pc,3780.html
i3 + GTX 770

There was no significant performance improvement from Sandy Bridge to Haswell refresh CPUs. I don't think Broadwell is going to make any. Skylake requires a different socket LGA 1151 and DDR4 RAM. The B75M motherboard is more future proof since its cheap and can be replaced

Hey !! its ur friendly neighbour ,
Intel core i5 4670k,12000
Asus z87-A (Z87 are the most efficient mobo for haswell tech)7500
Get 8gb DDR3 1600mhz memory (I reccomend corsair)4000
PSU Corsair VS550 2600
Casing is ur own choice ,1200
120gb SSD 4000
Cooling fan(i reccomend cooler master) + Cooler master hyper 212 EVO = 1800
Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce GTX 660 2GB Graphic Card
TOTAL IS NEAR 55000 , BUT I WOULD BE MORE COOL IF U ADD 5000 MORE AND GET A NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 760 , really really awesome card...

wohooo!! that's pretty neat! only one thing, i think that an ssd can wait... i do have a hdd for now... and in the near future no doubt i will switch to an ssd but i think for now i can save those 4k and invest some of it for a better case! what say??I won't be overclocking the rig, not anytime soon... so don't you think 4670k would be an overkill?maybe cutting cost on proc and utilizing it for gpu would be better??

I won't recommend that build. And check the prices yourself(rounding off is not a good idea). Case is something you will not upgrade for a long time so don't go cheap on it. Corsair VS series is the worst PSU series from Corsair(launched in India not available in USA). GPU should cost atleast 2x the CPU in a gaming build

So now it i am giving u more better build , check this out, got parts from pcpartpicker.com
Inter core i5 4670 $218.97
Gigabyte GA-Z87X-UD3H lga 1150, ATX, 4 ram slots, 32gb max ram, sli capability $151.98
Corsair Vengeance DDR3-1600 , 1x8gb $74.99
Corsair CX600 600W, ATX, 80+ bronze Excellent psu $37.99
As for CASING , it's definitely personal choice get it for around somewhere $70
Cooler Master hyper 212 EVO $29.98
Don't know much about fans company stuff , get it for less than $10
Finally it's now Graphics Card, i personally prefer nvidia over amd and $593.91 are used and $450 or $500 is left for graphics card , so
Gigabyte nvidia gtx 780 3gb , 1.02ghz $509.99
Total $1103 and 65000 in indian rupees
I know this is a little off budget maybe don't get air cooler or compromise a bit, but man if u add 10k more ur rig would be a beastly machine and could max out on almost all games... :)

Hey thanks again :) would like to mention a thing or two. First of all a USD 1103 rig!! bro that won't cost me just 65k in my country! You just did the direct conversion from USD to indian rupees, but you forgot taxes which will be imposed on each component which will easily take the rig from 75k to 80k!! now that's more than a little off the budget bro :p Moreover if i could invest 10k more (which not a small amount) i would have definitely given a hint in my first post itself. So i still believe that chimera's suggestion would be a more feasible option for me. Since my budget is restricted that's why i am taking advices from you all :) Anyways your replies are always welcome. Thanks

Well if that is so then maybe i should take parts from flipkart which is indian web i think ;
Intel core i5 4670 3.4Ghz LGA 1150 = 14910 rupees
Gigabyte GA-B85-D3H Motherboard = 5992
Kingston DDR3 4 GB Server RAM (KVR1333D3D8R9S/4G) = 2100
Corsair CMPSU-600CXV2UK/CMPS- CX600W 600 Watts PSU = 4640
Casing as always personal choice :) 5k for casing
MSI NVIDIA N760 HAWK 2 GB GDDR5 Graphics Card = 23700
TOTAL = 56342
This is an awesome build and it could play all the latest games at high to ultra settings, intel i5 4670 is an awesome processor and is quadcore that could be very helpfull in gaming and multitasking, motherboard is good considering budget and it supports haswell, micro-atx board with 4 ram slots and supports up to 32gb ram that is more than enough, As far as memory goes 8gb ram could not fit in this budget and 4gb is fine, it could play games but in after a month or two put some money and get another 4gb ram to make it 8gb and ur good then :) , Casing is a personnal choice and chimera201 was right that casing stays for long time so we should not cheap on it so good 5k for casing is cool, Graphics card is great and has CPU clock for 1111mhz, it has 256bit, 2gb MEMORY and could easily play ALL the LATEST games:) .. if u have more questions, feel free to ask me :)
