So, I've assembled my build this weekend and I am not really impressed with the h80i results, I am getting at stock clock 36ºC and under load at prime95 52ºC now I just don't wanna overclock it at all, I was hopping for much better cooling, something like idle 20ºC and under load (overclocked to 4.6 at least) at max 45ºC~50ºC. The H80i is set as intake, everything was connected correctly and the airflow is good, btw I had my side panel off when testing. So, Are my temps okay or I had really had high expectations with the cooler? if I apply MX4 maybe it will get better or I should jump to a h100i?

Specs:

FX8350 @stock clock
Sabertooth 990fx r2.0
Storm Scout 2
H80i
Gigabyte GTX770
XFX Pro Edition 750w
Samsung Evo 840 120gb
Seagate Barracuda 1tb

You will never get 20c idle with a H80i just is not going to happen. Also why do you have the H80i set as intake? With that setup you are pulling the hot air from the rad back into the case not the best setup there. You should have it setup to push the air out of the case over the rad.

I had a H100i and even with that on a 3570k at stock clock my idle temp was still around 26-28c I never got close to 20c eve with that and the 3570K is a cooler running CPU than your FX8350.

I saw ppl with the fx8350 overclocked to 4.7 with room temperature around 24C just like mine, under load, with the same temps I have at stock clock, like I said or I was expecting too much from it, or something is not quite right

You wont get temps that low, its not possible without something like LN2O. It wont happen, water can only uptake a certain amount of energy, and getting it down to 20C is not possible through water.

Even with the H100i, you wont hit that. The 8350 you have seen is likely not true, especially with that cooler. Dont know why exactly you want such low temps, they are good.

I see, I just thought that 40ºC idle with not overcloking was too much for a good closed loop like the h80i. I was just seeing ppl inform much better temps and I've got mixed feelings about this cooler

push/pull h80i as intake, room temp around 19ºC and its 41ºC thermal paste should be good and no dust since I bought it last week and installed it 4 days ago. From 3 possibilities corsair link gives me right now (the quiet up to the balanced and performance mode) I can only see about 3 or 4 degrees of diference, lets say I put in performance mode, my temps stay at 38ºC at quiet mode it goes to 40ºC or 41ºC....
