This is the max upgrade you can do with your optiplex 755 as far as my research goes .

EDIT : found out one more graphics card that will actually fit in that case but it will require atleast 400w psu.It is a CLUB3D 7770 Ghz Edition

If you have the mini tower version, the only space issue should be that you need a short card that doesn't run into the cooler housing:

The EVGA GTX 750 Ti Superclock makes more sense than the Galaxy. It has better cooling and a slightly faster clock and memory speed.

You might even be able to use longer cards. How much room do you have from the back of the case to the obstruction?

Ignore all of these guys listen to me! I have an Optiplex 755, as my main use pc right now.

Here's all the parts you want, I have done extensive research for this:

http://www.amazon.com/WD-Blue-Desktop-Hard-Drive/dp/B0088PUEPK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1400558766&sr=8-1&keywords=WD+1+TB

Western Digital Blue Drive 1 TB 60 Bucks

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005CPUPJY/ref=ox_sc_sfl_title_5?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A3LKWIQ3PBTNT2

Just buy 4 of these sticks. These Dells require some more specific ram, and it's going to cost you around 80 bucks on ebay or Amazon, these are from Dell, so your best option.

http://store.galaxytechus.com/GALAXY-GeForce-GTX-750-Ti-GC-Slim-2-GB-GDDR5-PCI-Express-30-DVIHDMIVGA-Graphics-CardbrbrBONUS-Low-profile-brackets-now-included-freebrbrFree-Gift-150-In-Game-for-Warface-Path-of-Exile-and-Heroes-of-Newerth_p_90.html

Now the GPU. You have the Mini tower version, so this should fit. I've asked on the Dell forums and it is confirmed to fit, but only in the mini tower, anything smaller and it'll interfere.

If you want too, you can put in a Core 2 Quad. But the 3 ghz C2D is perfectly fine for gaming, only if you want more speed then the quad is for you, if not then oh well.

Edit- Also, very nice research man. I've done a ton myself, just when I'm bored or want to know something. I purchased this off lease for 150 bucks, and it was upgraded with a 250 gig HD and 3 gigs of ram. I dropped in a GT 610, and I game a little bit. Can I ask where'd you get yours :)?

Yep I did some research and thanks alot for the links .You said Core 2 Duo is going to be enough , well I dont usually do any video editing so you actually make sense other thing .I live in Pakistan and bro I bough it from there for 25,000Rs including LCD and GPU which I think would be around 200 USD .It is surprising how many people use this machine and found quite alot of them are here, this is the main reason I made this .This is my current PC and I am loving it Can you suggest any mods like spray paint to make the silver part full black , I mean how would it look .
I am from Ukraine and my english sucks :p

I don't know about the paint, but oh well. I just did a quick conversion, it was $428.38 to be all precise about it xD. Dell Optiplex series are generally made for work use, hence the limited (7.5 inch, 19.05 cm) gpu length (reason 7750 fit's is because of it's very slim design, I'll link one afterwards). These are just used everywhere, I mean they weren't the cheapest new (For 755 Mini tower around a grand) but they aren't paying full price, it's a lease for let's say, 2 or 4 years. When it's done they are often cleaned out, and sold for cheap. Here in the States, they have huge sales of these. In Illinois they do it twice a year. It's not limited to just off lease pc's though. I'm talking pallets of monitors, desktops, laptops, and hard drive's plus other parts as well. That's why it's so plentiful, and if they weren't I wouldn't be on here right now lol.

Update- These pc's are used everywhere- schools, businesses, etc.

7750 link-

Just in case you don't actually want to "ignore all these guys" and listen solely to him, I have both the Galaxy and the Evga GTX 750 Ti. The EVGA is faster and quieter and better made than the Galaxy that is sold out of Illinois. But it's your money.

I Didnt mean ignore. But the EVGA won't fit in the Dell even if you saw off the second bracket. If he could
then I'd recommend it.

OK. I follow now. I had to look up the inside of the Optiplex 955. The Gfx card slot is in the worst possible location it can be. No other expansion slot next to it for a wider card. Bummer. Oh, well. The Galaxy isn't all that bad.

About the processor, I run a qx9650x on my system that used to have a e8400. Works fantastic. Silent overclocking to 3,5GHz made easy. Many games are much smoother than with E8400.

Think about it as you may find it or the q9650 under 200 USD, and it is a good 30-50% improvement on overall power

BTW, do not worry to much about tdp. The q and qx9650 have much lower power than e6850 (which is 65nm) for example, even if you can't see it on intel charts. So they will not eat more than 90W on stock clock.

I see that now. I had to search out what the inside of the Dell mini tower looked like to understand. Weird design. But yes, the Galaxy GTX 750 Ti is your best hope. I'm a convert now.

I have had several HD 7750s, std and OC models. I build a lot. Good low end cards, but no match for the GTX 750 TI. I was playing Crisis 3 at 1080p with both GTX 750 Ti cards I've owned. At mid-ish settings with a few tweaks, it was smooth as silk. And this was with a Phenom II X4 @ 3.74 GHZ.

Yeah. It's like I said to him earlier, these machines weren't meant for gaming. They were designed for office and school use. When they come out, their usually sold as off lease machines cheap. That's how I got mine for 150 bucks. I'm going to upgrade it, most likely with a 7750 or that 750 Ti, a faster C2D, and put in 4 gigs of ram. The thing I love is any of these old Dell's (not exclusive but still) can run windows 8. I've seen the GX280's and other machines from the early 2000's running W7 and W8, it just requires 2 gigs of ram.

I knew you wouldn't. I doubt it would even work if you did, it only worked with a few older cards. I'm not that extreme either, I'd rather keep mine intact.
