I have an ASUS laptop, model G750JW-BBI7N05 / D7N0CY58450229A. It has a 2.4 GHz CPU. I am going to have to start using Autodesk Inventor Pro, and Autodesk recommends that I have at least 3.3 GHz. Can I simply purchase a new processor and swap out my current one?

Most laptop CPU's aren't soldered. Like on my laptop(i7-2670qm), it just sits in the socket and can be removed just like a desktop processor and can be replaced with a processor supporting the same socket. So it depends on the socket and hardware your laptop suport.
On the other hand, you wont be able to find a significantly faster processor (200-300 MHZ wont make a big difference) that your laptop supports, plus mobile CPU's are expensive and hard to find, it will not be a wise investment at all.
I use AutoCAD, Inventor fusion and 3ds max on my 2.2GHz i7, and I dont face any problem. You might as well run them without problems.

I´m almost sure G750JW is soldered, if you go to G750JW intel website you will see they don´t talk about any socket like they use to when porcessor is to be applied to a socket. When intel don´t talk about any socket it´s a clear evidence the processor is to be soldered.

It´s soldered "Sockets Supported FCBGA1364". BGA means BALL GRID ARRAY. If not soldered it´s a PGA - PIN GRID ARRAY.
