Hey, I'm looking to build my first PC and I plan on making a decent rig. Since this is my first I would like to keep things as simple as possible, I don't know a ton about details when considering things like motherboards specs and capabilities and such, so please try to explain in a concise way for a new person.

I am going to be doing a lot of Gaming, and I see myself doing a lot in the future so I am just going with a strong GPU. I also am trying to be ready for heavier workloads in the future so I'm getting a good processor and a lot of RAM to be safe. The only things I have purchased so far are the CPU and the Case, so I am trying to build compatibility wise with that. Keep in mind I'm working in like a $1,700 - $1,500 budget, the lower the better, but I want to have certain specs regardless.

CPU- i7-4770K @ 3.5 GHz ($260 @ Microcenter)

Case- XION XION Gaming Series XON-985-BK, E-ATX/ATX/Micro-ATX compatible, It has good ratings and I liked the glass side wall($50@newegg)

Mobo-Not a clue, would like wireless capabilities, sli, and overclock ablities, I will have a window on my case so hopefully kinda good looking,?:) also trying to keep this around $150 any ideas?

PSU - I'm figuring on getting a corsair CX750 watt

GPU - Probably getting EVGA GeForce GTX 780, Is overclocked worth it for future endeavors? Is sli worth it?

Optical Drive - No Idea something cheap and durable, only need basic dvd watching and software loading, if there is a blue ray one for cheap that might be nice.

HDD - Help I have no clue! no need for more than a TB

Memory- need to keep this around $150-175 looking at crucials ballistix 16 gb (2x8), But is there something better for around this value?

Extras: How do I get a blue light in the back of the case? I like those, but I don't know what kind to buy, are they in the fans? or just a random led light that I need to install?

What I'm looking for is a strong budget choice for each undecided option, if I could get a thorough answer containing this I'll give best solution in a heartbeat. Once again the main thing I have no idea about is the Mobo, need quality, compatibility, capabilities, all while staying in budget. Thanks to anyone who answers.

Will this motherboard support overclocking? It is a nice looking board:), but this is the area as I said that I am the most uncertain and concerned about not putting enough into. So if there is a safer model, that may cost a bit more but give me extra assurance that'd be awesome, hopefully black and blue as well:).

Yes! It is also very reliable, able to run an OC at 4.0 without a sweat!
