Hi ppl my pc configuration is :

Motherboard : ASUS MAXIMUS IV GENZ/GEN3
RAM : XMS3 (1600MHZ- corsair) ( Product link)
CPU: Intel core i5 2500k@ 3.7ghz

i looked on internet and findout that Sandybridge CPU allow RAMS to run at 1.5v but according to ram manufacturer in order to achieve 1600mhz i need to use XMP profile which will set its voltage to 1.65 , so what i did is, i overcloked RAM to 1600mhz at 1.5v . Then i did MEMORY TEST using MEMTEST (Softare link)for 2 hours but didnt find any error.

I want to know, is this ok to use RAM at 1.5v which is rated to run at 1.65v by manufacturer. Will that cause any serious Damage in future or not???

Solution
No should be fine, think they are just somewhat over generous in the binning of the Memory ICs, i.e. if they can't do 1866 they just all are put in a 1600 bin or something, then all designated as 1.65 rather than breaking down what 'needs' 1.65 vs what can run at 1.5, poor way to handle things as many won't buy 1.65 sticks in 1600 as it's indicative of weak sticks...
