Hi ppl my pc configuration is :
Motherboard : ASUS MAXIMUS IV GENZ/GEN3
RAM : XMS3 (1600MHZ- corsair) ( Product link)
CPU: Intel core i5 2500k@ 3.7ghz
i looked on internet and findout that Sandybridge CPU allow RAMS to run at 1.5v but according to ram manufacturer in order to achieve 1600mhz i need to use XMP profile which will set its voltage to 1.65 , so what i did is, i overcloked RAM to 1600mhz at 1.5v . Then i did MEMORY TEST using MEMTEST (Softare link)for 2 hours but didnt find any error.
I want to know, is this ok to use RAM at 1.5v which is rated to run at 1.65v by manufacturer. Will that cause any serious Damage in future or not???
