Wireless-G vs N for a 25 Mbps connection

I currently have a 25 Mbps connection from Comcast. Due to physical limitations, I am only able to connect my desktop to the Internet via Wi-Fi. I am currently using a wireless-g router, and according to speedtest.com, I usually get around 7-12 Mbps download speed. Even when I test my laptop at close range wirelessly, I get that approximate download speed. When I connect my laptop to the router via Ethernet, I can get the full 25 Mbps.

My question is that would switching to a wireless-n router improve my download speeds at all? Thanks.

Edit: Also, I have a number of other devices I would connect to my router. I have an iPad and a laptop that I would probably connect wireless, and an Xbox 360 and an A/V receiver that I would connect via Ethernet.

Be sure you switch everything to N. If some of your equipment is still G it will still use G to talk to your new router and you will get no advantage. There is also some degradation if you run a mix of G and N off the same router at the same time.
