I have a 1992 Compudyne model no. 486 dx/33 fully functioning pc with all perferials except the mouse and i was wondering if its a good idea to sell it.

First off it was my first computer and i really dont want to, but i lost my job and i wont have enough for the bills this month if i dont sell it.

I also wondered if its value would be higher in 20 years or will it be worth less.

I have it on ebay right now and i already have 3 watchers in the last 8 hours and have got 2 messages about it!

PC components don't go up in price as the years go by, they just become worthless. Its not the same as selling other vintage systems like an Amiga, or even a retro console. If you held on to it for another 100 years maybe then...

...also, this post just seems like an excuse to plug your ebay item to me.

Thanks for the info, its not an excuse,i just wanted to know if i had something that would go up in price or not. I would be kicking myself if it went way up in 20 years and i sold it now. If your right and it will loose value i am very grateful for the information and ill select as the solution.
