Hello,
I am thinking of pre-ordering Watch Dogs and I wonder if my pc will be able to run it.I know that my config isn't good, but I want to precise that I don't really care about the graphics and playing on min. settings, as long as I can play properly. Here is my config:

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Quad CPU Q9400 @ 2.66GHz
Video Card: AMD Radeon HD 6700 Series
Memory: 4Go
I'm on Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bits. I overclocked my GPU a little bit.
I'm maybe planning of buying some RAM, but if I can run it without it please tell me.

Thanks in advance for your help

See if you even clear the minimum. If you can you can probably play on the lowest settings.

Thanks for this fast answer, but are those the official specs? They are different on each website, for example on this website, and we can't see them on the official website nor online shops. 6gb of ram seems pretty much to me for the minimal config on the website you gave me. According to it, my pc fails, but only because of the ram.
It seems strange to me that my pc wouldn't run it on min. as for example I can run Battlefield 4 on medium graphics very well.

Probably on low settings you can. Don't expect anything magnificent with that setup but I think you can still run it.

I suspect you will be able to run it @ 720p, but the game isn't even out yet

No, minimum ram to run the game is 6GB. Even if you upgraded your ram, it will not run at decent framerates, and you will end up more frustrated than actually having fun with the game. Good luck!

I'm a bit wary of these requirements. They might be accurate, but they might not. The high minimum specs, the review embargo, I do wonder how much of this is just marketing to generate talk and perhaps we will find that the game runs quite well on older systems. Just one week to wait and we will find out :)

Well minimum means that you will be able to launch the game, almost every developer does this, running it at decent framerates its another story, but hey! we will know when it launches.

Thank you for your answers. I have bought the game anyway because I really wanted it :D . Now that I have it, I can tell you the results: the game runs quite smoothly (after having set my resolution lower than my native one) when I'm on foot, but when I'm in a car I can drive but it's barely playable. Now I here is my question: if I buy myself some RAM, can it reach a playable level? If not, should I change my GPU and which ones do you advise? Again, I don't want to play on ultra, just to be able to play the new games for about 2 years.

Edit: I don't really know much about GPUs and their performance, but do you think that a R7 260X or a GeForce GTX 750 can handle demanding games such as Watch Dogs or GTA V when it comes out?

I would recommend getting a GTX 760 or an R9 270, The cards that you mention are low end gaming cards, you at least want to get mid range cards for smoother gameplay, also Watchdogs and GTA V are very CPU dependent so make sure to upgrade your CPU to a quad Core or an AMD equivalent.

Thanks, I'll probably buy one of those GPUs. One last question, my CPU is a quad core (Intel Core 2 Quad, I've also checked in device manager to make sure and it appears 4x), do you think I need to change it ?

Edit: after some research, I've found out that my power supply does 350W, but the R7 260X's recommended power is 500W. Is it still okay to buy it?
Sorry about all the questions but I don't want to replace all of my components.
Thanks for your support.
