If you are asking how to restore the machine to factory new via its restore partition, watch the boot screen at startup. There should be a msg telling you which key to press to enter the restore program. On my HP laptop it was ESC. If that doesn't help you, let me know the model of your HP desktop and maybe I can trackdown the key sequence for you.
