Hello all I'm looking to run games like Battlefield 4 and especially Day z or Arma III on medium/high setting with a solid 50-60 fps. Should I run the GTX with the fx6350 or the i5? Also would the ASUS M5A97 R2.0 mobo be compatible with either CPU?

*Possible setup*
GPU - GTX 760
CPU - Amd fx6350 or Intel Core i5-4430
MOBO- ASUS M5A97 R2.0
8g ram
Seagate Barracuda 1 TB HDD
SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB (want to load OS on SSD)
SeaSonic S12II 620w Bronze
Cooler Master Hyper 212 (I heard the stock AMD heatsink fan is loud, not sure about the i5 fan so input would be valued.)

Thanks so much in advance!!

Yeah it should be. Games only just recently (as in, since BF4) started using 4 threads. And with a (sadly) pretty big chunk of games being poorly optimized, I would take an Intel quad-core over an AMD hexa- or octa-core any day for gaming.

You might check around on the GPU though, I've seen some R9 280s around the price of a 760, and that would be a decent step up, along with extra VRAM as well.

Ok cool, I've read to not focus on the number of cores, but will 4 be enough in the long run (2-4 years)?I'm Trying to stay under 1k for the components and monitor; I'm just trying to get the most bang for my buck so I don't have to upgrade for a while and can still have decent fps in unoptimized versions of games.
