I have a problem while I'm gaming sometimes. When I start a game... say battlefield 3 or Outlast, the game starts off beautifully (High frame-rate 50-60+ FPS). After about 30 or so seconds, my monitor/screen goes black for a few seconds (The games are still running), then when the game comes back, my frame-rate is at 25-30 FPS or bellow. I have done a fresh graphics driver install... with no anvil. What is going on here?

I am running MSI Afterburner to overclock my card. The card is not bottle-necked as it runs at 100% usage when gaming.

-Motherboard: MSI 785GT-E63
-PSU: Antec Neo Echo 620C 620W
-Processor: AMD Phenom II Zosma OC'ed to 3.5GHz
-Ram 4.5GB DDR2 (1X2 GB, 2X1GB, 1X512MB) (Running Unganged)
-GPU: BFG Tech nVIDIA GTX 260 Core 215 55nm OC'ed

Solution
may be over driving the card or the card is on it last legs. the other issue could be a weak or unclean power supply. when gpu under full load it craps out. if you have a few friends see if one of them has a spare gpu you can test with.
