I'm currently trying to decide if I should use a Sapphire Radeon 7950 or a EVGA GFX 760 super clocked for my first pc build. After rebates the 7950 comes in at $210 and the 760 $240 or $260 w/ ACX cooling. Judging from reviews the two compare fairly close but the 760 is slightly better. I have no plans on overclocking either card so both will be used stock. I'm wondering if the performance increase is worth the increase in cost? Also, If you think the 760 is worth it, should I pay the extra for acx cooling system?

Thanks for any help.

Have you had a look at the r9 270x? Toms ranked it as best value for money in its price range, I would like the article but I'm on my phone sorry.

The R9 280 is the updated AMD 7950 , so consider that as well if it's a good price in comparison. Spending the extra on a better cooler for the GTX 760 isn't worthwhile, as for the price you can begin to find R9 280X's , that are updated AMD 7970 ghz editions, with rebates. And those compete with the GTX 770.
