Hello!

I recently had troubles with my Radeon HD 6850 (overheated, broke) which was a shame because I really liked the card. It worked well for my purposes (D3, SCII, FFXIV ARR, GW2) and I never had problems with it until it broke and i was told my PSU didn't support it (which is likely the cause).

I recently ordered a new PSU (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371059) and now I'm in the market for a new graphics card. I'm really trying not to go above $150 which I know isn't the best budget, but its what I have to work with. Any help in my decision would be fantastic. Thank you!

That looks like a very nice card and I'm definitely considering it, but will the power supply I have in the mail support it? I'd hate to fry another graphics card because of an insufficient PSU

Antec is a good PSU brand. That Antec unit will easily support that card and have no problem with almost any bigger card you could buy. What is the rest of your system like? CPU? Monitor resolution? Memory?

The R7-265 should be the at least the equal of (and in most cases better than) your HD 6850, but with the capability of modern features that games use today that your old card didn't have.

Thanks for the reply! If my PSU will in fact support it I think I'll be getting the Radeon card. in my computer I have 2 sticks of (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CIGW2M8/ref=oh_details_o04_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and my CPU is (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00CLBZAWY/ref=oh_details_o05_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1). I have two 1080p monitors, but I'm not sure if that's the actual spec you're looking for.

EDIT: found 'em - http://www.amazon.com/HP-2311x-23-Inch-LED-Monitor/dp/B004G8QO5C

Your PSU will indeed support that card. And much more powerful cards. At 1080p with that processor and the R7-265, you should be able to game at the same settings your were gaming at with faster framerates, or the same framerates at slightly higher settings.
