i see I will need chipset, mobo, nvida drivers.. i am guessing for onboard sound will come from mobo drivers?

where do i get network drivers? BIOS updating?

anyone tell me where to get them all?:>

I just went to check Asrock page and there are tons of drivers. I notice the Realtek ones there though are not what Realtek has as the newest..

The network drives should be found on the motherboard's Download page. You should also receive a copy of all your mobo drivers (Sound, LAN etc) on a CD in the packaging. If not, you can find them here: http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Z97%20Extreme4/index.us.asp?cat=Download&os=Win8a64.

Haha, guess I took too long nitpicking my post and three others beat me to it :O

i had read to download all drivers ahead of time from the "how to build a pc" sticky above on this forum, and not to use the CD as they might be a bit older. At same time, I wasnt sure if some of the drivers on the mobo site would be older since I have noticed that before..

So just download all the stuff up there on asus site to download and then go download the gpu drivers and thats good enough?

should i do anything with the Bios? or just leave it how it comes

Leave the BIOS alone for now. You can check to see if there have been any updates after you get everything else up and running. Also, yes, you should be good to go after you download all the Mobo and GPU drivers. From the look of your build, you should not need additional software to make anything else work properly.

so you are saying do not go to asrock but go to realtek, intel, etc getting everything. should i do bios first before other drivers or after?

i did not see chipset driver on asrock page.. i know on my asus board i always just got from nvidia

Sorry, no, I mean from the motherboard manufacturer's website, Asrock.

Everyone will have a different order of doing things, but I like to start with the bios myself, and install the latest right away.
