Hello Formumites,
I am in need of help as my new PC would frequently freeze up when playing games on steam. Here is a little background information.
1) I just got finished with this PC a little over a week ago.
2) Specs:
Case: Silverstone tj04-e
CPU: Intel Core i5 - 4570
Motherboard: B85-G43
GPU: Nvidia gtx750 ti 2gb
PSU: Corsair 850 watt ~ Gold Rated
RAM: (2x4gb) Corsair Vengeance 1600 MHz
CPU cooler: Intel Stock cooling fan (lol.)
Fans: 3 Silverstone stock case fans (2 instake, 1 exhaust)
3) I have done the usual such as cleaning the registry in case of corrupt files. I also doubt that dust in the system is a problem as it is rather new.
I notice that my PC would often freeze while playing any sort of games on steam. It tends to usually happen when there is large frame rate spike eg) Explosion in Fallout New Vegas, CS GO rapid zoom in on another player model after I die, TF2 playing demoman and reloading while detonating sticky grenades. Any sort of help would be great.
