Solution
click on start then right click on my computer and click manage. then click on device manager. right click on sound, video and game controllers and click scan for hardware changes. this should automatically detect audio devices and drivers if they are plug and play. I am think that this wont help you though, i believe that everything is still installed and that the audio device is just disabled. to check this click on start then control pannel. make sure you are in category then click on hardware and and sound then under sound click manage audio device, right click on the white and make sure "show disabled devices" is checked then right click on your audio device and set it as the defauilt.
