Hello, all. Trying to find my little brother a decent graphics card for his comp. He has a P6-2133W from HP, and his integrated graphics just won't cut it for some games. He's not too particular on graphics, but some high fps on med/high would be nice for him.
Motherboard is a AAHD3-HB
CPU is an A6-3620
I can find some R9 270X's for 150 or less online; they're used though. Also, I have been considering the GTX 750TI, but I want it to last him a while. The only problem is the PSU; it's only a 300W, but I may be able to find him a 400 or a 500 in some old computers.
Any other considerations?
Would a 400W be too low for a 270X? I don't think CPU bottlenecking would be an issue for either of these cards, but what do you guys think?
If the 270X is a go, should we go XFX, Sapphire, or MSI? I'm an nVidia guy myself, so I'm not much up on the AMD side. It's more his budget though instead of nVidia.
