Hello there, i require some assistance! I need to upgrade this build and i'm not quite sure what would be the best upgrade so i get higher FPS in high end games and just generally a faster computer

PC Specs:
AMD FX(tm) - 6100 Six Core Processor 3.3 GHZ
AMD Radeon HD 7700 (DDR5)
16GB Ram
500/(750 not entirely sure)W PSU
Motherboard: Asus M5A 78L-M USB3
Vantage warlord gaming case.
1TB HDD

Any advice would be appreciated. And if you could recommend something that will quite-silent that would be better.

Solution
I wouldn't go lower than a GTX760 but really the 4590 is strong enough for any video card setup. It's all about how much you are wanting to spend.

I like psus made by Seasonic, XFX, and Antec the best. Anything in the 550-650w range should be fine.

Unfortunately selling the whole thing isn't an option. What would you recommend in place of the other components that you wouldn't re-use?

Btw, i appreciate you taking time out to provide me with assistance.

Even so, thank you.

Fair point. I just want my PC good enough to run games on ultra settings and still be able to benefit from a decent frame rate.

Any recommendations you can make for a new cpu, mobo, gpu and psu?

I've researched a little and i came across Intel Core i5-4670K CPU and MSI Z87-GD65 Gaming Motherboard. I haven't done anything with PC's for a while apart from the regular clean up of dust and some cable management so i'm a little out of touch.

I cannot give recommendations without knowing your budget.

The combo you picked is expensive. You would need to add an aftermarket cooler to overclock so that even more money.

Depending on your budget.

I think i would go with:
CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor ($199.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Motherboard: ASRock H97 PRO4 ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($89.98 @ SuperBiiz)
Total: $289.96

My budget isn't too high or too low, as long as it isn't money wasted on something that is available with better performance at a lower price, but saying that i'm not a "Hardcore" PC gamer. I just need the pc to be able to run games such a World of warcraft, Elder Scrolls Online and other top end games at max settings and great fps..

My current system used to run amazing on max settings, however, recently my frames seem to drop dramatically and the in game loading takes a lot longer.

Going with the motherboard and cpu i've picked out from what you provided what psu and gpu would go well with it?

I think i can go higher than the gtx760. Budget really isn't much of a problem as I have been saving a lot. I want something high end but not over the top. Anything that will keep me on amazing frames on ultra settings and will have a longer life.

Sweet, those psus sounds good.
