Gaming crash issues

When I open certain games they crash and give me a blank screen of a random color. I don't know what games it will happen on. I can play games like arma 3 and Dayz and not have an issue, but games like SimCity will crash almost instantly after joining. Sometimes when the game crashes I get this weird audio loop, but not always.

I just bought a new hard drive and new windows 8.1 OS today in hopes of it fixing and still nothing. I swapped out my RAM for a known good one and it still happens. I put my graphics card in a friends PC and it worked fine so now im at a loss and I have no idea what to do.

PC Specs:
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-3770 @ 3.4 GHz
RAM: 8 GB (2x4 GB) 1600Mhz G.Skill
GPU: EVGA Nvidia 660 GTX 2GB DDR5
HDD: Seagate 1TB 7200RPM
MOBO: MSI Z77A-G43
OS: Windows 8.1

Solution
More than likely the power supply is supplying enough power to run the computer in everyday tasks, but when the graphics card begins drawing more power than the PSU can supply it crashes. Often these off-brand power supplies actually put out significantly less watts than advertised.

KDM isn't even on the power supply tier list.

The computer is fine and it will web browse and play some games. it just doesn't play certain games. All cords in the computer are seated properly and we don't have a problem with the computer starting or it displaying. the problem is it crashes on certain games. could it still be the PSU? its 775W, but the brand is one ive never seen its KDM.
