Hi there all i wondered is it going to be big difference if i combine a Haswell CPU with the non-haswell PSU?

my plan to build the system was this:

Gigabyte GTX 760 OC 2Gb

Gigabyte G.1 Sniper Z87

Intel i5 4670K with the CoolerMaster Hyper 212 Evo

Kingston HyperX Furry white 1866MHz 2x4Gb 10CL

Seagate Baracuda 1Tb 7200RPM HDD

CoolerMaster V650S 650W PS unit

Now should i change the PSU to the haswell aproved couse this is not?

ive had in mind CoolerMaster Vanguard 700W PS unit which is 50euros more

Will it have much difference does it matters that much if its a Haswell aproved or not for the CPU?

More about : haswell psu cpu

It will still power up your system. The Haswell certification is a correction made to support Haswell CPUs in sleep mode.

While getting a Haswell non-compatible isn't really an issue, al you do is disable the specific power save function and then you won't have any issues.

HOWEVER a quality PSU is VERY important, and since a quality PSU usually has Haswell support... You get where I am going...

Stay away for CoolerMaster PSUs. They are pretty much ALL junk but for an exception here or there.

A reliable 550W PSU is more than enough for your build.
Suggestions :
XFX, Corsair(avoid CX and CM range), Antec (avoid VP range), Seasonics.

Here is a tiered PSU list. I would recommend a tier 1 or 2 power supply. If you are getting a new PSU, why not just get a Haswell certified PSU?

More than enough power even with a 500W, as long as its a quality unit.

I can't see those links. But ALL of Seasonics units are great. It looks like it might be the 620W MII model?

Yes, both of those power supply series are great. The X ( GOLD) AND Platinum series are excellent Seasonic power supplies.

I think you will be happy with it. I have a Seasonic Platinum 860 watt power supply. It is rock solid. It is extremely quiet, as well.

It is the best power supply I've ever owned (or been around).
