Hey there, I've just finished setting up and wiring most of my pc build, but im a first time builder and a complete noob.

My HDD didnt come with any SATA data Cables and neither did my optical drive. am I right in assuming they only need the Sata power cable (flatish one?)

Also, at the back of my case is a 3 pin (molex) adapter which I think has my 2 front fans plugged into it? (came with a bundle of cables fed from back to front of case upon opening and front fans are cabled) So I'm guessing I just need to give it power directly from power supply or?

I need to get the build finished so I can test the parts to make sure they work before tomorrow. Cheers

Hi GroovyDude97
your HDD will require 2 cables , sata power which will plug in from a cable on your PSU
and a sata data cable this is the cable you must hook up to you HDD and then to a sata port on your motherboard
yes you can power the fans from a 4pin molex if it has 3pin or 4pin fan sockets on it
Be sure your main ATX 20/24pin power is plugged into your motherboard
Also your 12v eps 4pin/8pin is plugged into your motherboard for your cpu power

your motherboard should come with extra sata cable, and yes any should do.

if the fan is connected to molen adapter then yes just connect to psu, otherwise they can go on motherboard fan header.
