Hello

i got a Sharkoon Skiller and it has shortkeys for power sleep wake etc. now i want to if the pc is offi can press the power button on my keyboard to boot my system up. at the USB settings in my BIOS i found the option enable keyboard power on and putted that on Enabled. i saved the Bios and tryed it out but it didnt boot up. i went to my control pannel>keyboard>propertties> and enabled the setting allow keyboard to boot system up. but still my keyboard doesnt boot up

and most of you guys will say the keyboard cant power upyour system if your system is off and not providing power to the keyboard. my pc's USB ports still give power out if the system is off. only if i pull the wire from the wall socket the keyboard/mouse/usb ports lose their power

Specs
Motherboard : Asrock N68 vs3 UCC
Keyboard : Sharkoon Skiller

On my 2-year old system, the "power-on with keyboard" feature requires a PS/2 keyboard (which is what I use), it doesn't work with USB keyboards. However, in my BIOS settings it specifically says "PS/2 keyboard power on <enable/disable>" so I know it applies only to PS/2.

If yours is supposed to work with USB keyboard (which I've personally never seen in any BIOS Setup) I don't know why it's not doing it. Maybe it depends on the actual make/model of USB keyboard you're using.

Just occurred to me that you may have to press the spacebar or some other key, not the power button which may be for shutting down only. Have a look in the BIOS again to see if it specifies a particular key to power on from the keyboard, or it may require you to assign a key for that function.

i saw on other motherboards that you can put in a specific key. since my motherboard is a low budget i think i got not much options to choose from. but it says USB so it must work with USB but the spacebar can be true. the keyboard Sharkoon Skiller has wake sleep power ill try wake later but i think wake is to boot up the pc after i pressed the sleep button to go in stand by
