Hi there,

I have a computer build:
DZ77-SL50K Mobo
8GB Kingston RAMx1
Cooler Master G Series 700W PSU
Asus R9 270X DirectCUII
Intel i5 3570K with a coolermaster heatsink (huge!)
Cooler Master Case

My computer had been running fine since I got it about a year and a bit ago. I was out the other day and came home to find my PC completely dead. It's quite strange, when I turn on the PSU and push power on the front panel the fans spin for a fraction of a second and then nothing. Then if I push power again nothing happens at all until I completely turn off the PC on the PSU and drain the capacitors. Then it just does the same thing again even though lights indicating power on the mobo (standby light i think it is) and my graphics card are on bright green.
I thought at first that it was my PSU (Big Ant 500W cheap one) so I replaced it with the one listed above and nothing...
Of course changing the PSU means that I reseated all the power connectors and still nothing.
I also have tried resetting the BIOS, reseating RAM, trying different slots, Isolating the PC from everything else, checking the capacitors, swapping the power button with the reset button on the mobo just in case, cleaning the thing of dust and taking the power cables off of the graphics card.

I'm almost at a loss now of what to do. I'm desperate to fix it as I have put alot of time into building this PC and I was finally happy with where it was at and I want it back ASAP.
If only I could have been there when it first shut down as then I may at least have found out what the cause may have been.
You guys are legends I know it! Please give a poor lost soul some guidance. :)

Cheers Guys,
Jack

...crap, i thought it was decent. There isn't much range at the computer stores here anthat one was on the more expensive side of things.
Still, the watts have significantly increased and it's a brand spanking new PSU that's gonna be alot better than a Big Ant PSU and exactly the same thing happened as soon as i got it all hooked up?
Thanks for the link btw i'll check through it and keep you posted.
