Hi, basicly i got a new monitor ( ASUS VX238H ) And my gpu is HD 7850 and i was wondering why it cant run them 60fps, i thought my gpu is good enough to run it on 1080p res atleast on 60fps. Im also getting a new CPU next week, but can it be the cpus fault anyway ? I could run it 150+ fps on my old monitor which was total crap. I know its nothing special but i hope it helps.

Solution
For upgradeability , you could use a 5th gen intel cpu on it
If they were f***ing expensive ( excuse me for my language ) then I wouldn't recommend one
But you can get one that is as cheap as a h87 mobo
you must have upped the resolution (from under HD or HD to Full HD). Your GPU is good for 1080p, but you won't get 60FPS when playing modern day games High-Ultra.

Depending on your other CPU, it most likely won;t make a huge difference unless;

-There was a bottleneck

-Just no bottleneck, but a poor CPU.

Even on 1280x720 i get around 50-40 fps, why is that ? Shouldnt i get 60fps on 720 ?
CS:GO not even maxed out.

Yeah ive heard from few people from Australia, it`s not as bad but im kinda still a poor student who works par time lol. Anyway thanks for all the help guys !

Honestly, anything will beat your Athlon X3. Even if you could only afford a 4th gen Pentium G3420, that'd still be a significant upgrade and an H97 motherboard leaves future upgrades open. Though obviously an i5 of some sort would be best.

But yeah, your current CPU is definitely holding your GPU back in most games. Upgrade the CPU before you consider upgrading your GPU. Your video card is still good (60 fps at 1080p in most games, just not the really intense ones like BF4 or Metro), but your CPU is far, far weaker. Your video card should be running CSGO at over 100fps at 1080p.

The thing is im thinking of ordering it all from amazon.de or es because it will come here faster. the 4570 is only 70 cents more expensive that 4430.
