Technically, any engine with proper DX 9.0c support (programmable shaders) can theoretically output the same image, if the developer were willing to put the time and effort to do everything in shaders.
So I think the real question here, is what engines output the best looking images "easily".

That's the best list here so far.
However, FC3 uses the Dunia 2, not the original Dunia engine. But yeah, great engine. I wouldn't hesitate to call it one of the best, considering it has volumetric wind fully integrated, which affects animations, AI, and ofc the proprietary fire spread.
I might list the Anvil Engine from AC3 and Black Flag, but the thing is, I don't know if how poorly those games run is due to the engine or simply due to the developers themselves.
Also, if someone lists the "Creation Engine" *cough* Gamebryo from 2002 *cough* I'm going to be very irritated.

Yea FARCRY 3 is best game for me so far . Dunia 2 is very good .Thx for correcting
Anvil Engine has poor optimization , i think .

Metro: Light Light , engine behind is good .
I guess its call 4A engine .
Also Chrome Engine 6 behind upcoming Dying Light is also noticeable .

Frostbite is the best I've seen. But the new graphics of wolfestien are good too. But I doubt it offer a good frame rate for a game like bf4.
I never seen the cryengine of crysis running on a good computer like I have now. But I say that the cry engine offer something real good in some games like MWO.
The ut3 engine is great too. I did not like it in the past when I was very young but now I love it.
Ghost engine is superior to bo2 and very good too.
CSGO offer some nice graphics too.

It could also be good because it support a large range of computer and because it offer nice possibility like in MWO. Thinking from the perspective of a developer, OP's question is completely pointless. A developer will never ask that question. And whoever asks or wants to know more about game engines will be a developer. Licensing and ease of development are the 2 major things to consider when choosing a game engine. That would be UE4.
