What RAM do I need?

I know I want 16GB just to be on the safe side, but then I've got a M5A97 R2.0 EVO mobo with the FX 8350 CPU. So I'm just asking if there's anything to consider when buying it you see. Any brands to buy or avoid etc. First time builder you see.

corsair and Kingston are good brands. getting the super expensive "super fast" ram is not worth the performance in my opinion. and unless your doing something abnormal or professional id save some money and just go with 8 gigs
