I know that this may seem like an awkward/dum question but I just want to be safe.

Can a monitor support multiple inputs at one time?
Or will I have to turn off my monitor, unplug one input, then plug another into the other input, and then turn it back on.

For example:
I have my PlayStation 3 plugged into my HDMI slot on my monitor and my PC plugged into the DVI-D slot. I can chose which input to show a display from on my monitor with the buttons on the bottom of it.
Also what if they were both giving in an input into the monitor? Would that damage the monitor?
I require both to be plugged in at the same time for recording to YouTube, I have a second monitor plugged into my PC which only has one input.
My monitor is a BenQ XL2411T.
If any more information is required then just ask :)

Interesting question. I doubt it would damage the monitor, so you could give it a shot. Does the monitor have an input button to switch between dvi/dhmi/etc? If so, then it probably does support multiple inputs. If not, then I have no idea what would happen.

If you don't get any answers here, and you wanted to be really safe, you could always contact BenQ customer support.
