Since I don't have much space in my room, I decided to go for an mATX build.

Here's what I have:
Case: Fractal Design DEFINE Mini
PSU: Corsair CX500M
CPU: Intel Core i3-4130
Motherboard: Asus Vanguard B85
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB Single
Memory: Samsung SSD 840 EVO 120GB

PS: I would also like to know if Pentium or Celeron would be good for my build because I'm only using this for school work. And I'm on a very tight budget.

Solution
Pentium would be just fine, especially paired with an SSD and dual channel RAM:

Would be good to know your budget .
I bet you only have 'bout 400$ ?
And since you're only using it for school work , a pentium would do the job hands down .
8GB of ram would be useless for your build
Also you need a gpu to run that build
I'd rather go for a 1tb hdd than an ssd
Here's what i recommend

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant / Benchmarks

CPU: Intel Pentium G3220 3.0GHz Dual-Core Processor ($56.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33 Micro ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($43.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Kingston Blu 4GB (1 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($34.99 @ Best Buy)
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.43 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: PNY GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB Enthusiast Edition Video Card ($139.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Rosewill FBM-01 MicroATX Mini Tower Case ($29.99 @ Amazon)
Power Supply: Corsair Builder 430W 80+ Bronze Certified ATX Power Supply ($34.99 @ Micro Center)
Total: $395.37
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

It'll handle newer games at low to mid setting just fine at 1080p and is good for school work :)
