Many people have the false conception that wifi = internet. Wifi is just a wireless protocal that allows you to wirelessly send the data that you would send over an ethernet lan cable. Thus your wifi is fine, it is your internet connection that is having a problem.
Do you have more then one computer/device?
To troubleshoot the source of the problem need to know if you have internet with wired connection, and need to know if other devices have internet (wired or wireless).

some wi-fis have a devices limit if it exceeds the router dont gives internet signals to anyone try to obtain an ip adress automatically by going in network and sharing centre and then click on local area connection and then properties and click ip version 4 and click on obtain an ip adress automatically or try to connect to another wifi hotspot.hope it helps
He said he has wifi connection so the router is giving him an assigned IP address just fine. If he has 30 devices on the one router then he could overload the NAT or have very limited bandwidth but he would not have zero internet at all, and if it was a NAT table issue it would lock up the router. I think you what you are refering to is having more devices then IPs in the DHCP server , but he gets an IP and wifi connection so this is not the case; by then setting a static ip at the device would only make it harder to troubleshoot.
Now I need to figure out where the problem starts.
Is it a problem with modem, problem with router getting IP from modem, problem with just that computer.
Thats why I asked the OP to test his internet connection with wired and wireless on that device, and with different devices so I could go from there.

Are you using a range extender? If so, your provider may not allow certain extenders. CenturyLink just turn off my internet if I hook up my netgear WN3000. All I get is the strong signal and no internet connection.
On another blog, I asked if anyone else had there modems firmware updated without their permission.
I think they did mine so they could turn off the modem if my netgear was working, but I bought another modem thinking that it was my modem, because it worked for 13 years, before I got to check for the update, they won't let me hook it back up to find out if they might have broke the law. So check your firmware and make sure they didn't do it to you. Mine was done about the 1st on May.

Outside of having remote configuration enabled on your modem/router combo device so they can access your configuration settings, the ISP would not be able to know what devices you have hooked up behind the router, that is the whole point of NAT. If all the devices are in your single family home they should not care, now if you are trying to share your internet with your family a few houses down, thats a different story. Now I have seen ISPs block your internet if you have excessive constant downloads or if you are connected to known botnets.
Situation has not changed, still need to know source of failure.
Bad firmware upgrade is possible, right now it is a list of a hundred different issues that it could be until the OP responds and we can narrow it down to the problem device. No point in naming out the hundred different issues it could be until then.
I have my internet without my extender, my extender was in my garage. The internet providers are trying to get to bill everyone who uses the internet to pay for usage. In other words, not free as it is now. Example: if you pay $40 a month for the connection, and they get the usage charge of $10 per Gigabite, if you watch a video streamed, you will pay $80 for the month.
They are getting ready for that time, if you don't update your firmware, they will have problems of knowing how much you use. So they are ( I think, no proof yet ) updating the firmware without your permission.
One other problems with usage charges, if someone writes a virus with your IP address, they can signal that you downloaded 100 Gigabites, and cost you $1000 for the month now including connection fees.

I went and bought a modem that was supported by my provider. It works.
