Hey guys,

Over the past couple of days I have been trying to get windows 8.1 on my Imac via boot camp I have had a lot of trouble and made a few post on another forum.

Please could you review the thread that I will post the link to, You will see what I have tried and what I am actually doing. You might spot something I am doing wrong.

I don't mind answering any/same questions I had on the other forum. I should be around for 5-6 hours so I can try anything.

Did you use BootCamp to put the partition on your drive for Windows? Due to the difference in partition tables with Windows and Mac, BootCamp is the easiest way to get a partition:

Try running bootcamp and going through the setup, and set your partition through there.
