Im new to tom´s HARDWARE and i hope someone can help me out with this issue of mine.
I recently bought an IBM xSeries 346 second-hand from someone who worked at a hospital, Its quit an old server and the guy said that he had to format all the drives (to the zero), so now i have a server and when i try to install an operating system (i have tried various os´s) it does not detect any of the hard drives, I have tried taking 5 out and leaving 1 in but it still doesnt see it, I have also checked the Bios and there is no sign of the Hard drives.
So i went around the internet looking for help and found out that i need drivers from IBM so the OS can detect the hard drives. I tried putting the drivers on a USB stick and boot windows XP but I dont know what to do from there, so i came here looking for help.

He's probably destroyed the raid setup that the server had for security after wiping.

You need to boot off the IBM RAID Configurator Utility Disk, create your raid setup for the Ultra320 SCSI HDD's..

Depending on your setup, create a RAID-1 using 2 disk for O/S and a raid-5 with the remaining 4 disks.

Now when you install Windows. it may require a drivers to see the disks during install.
